PINTEREST MASTERCLASS
with Alexis The Greek

REPLAY

NOTE: Since this masterclass aired in 2020, Pinterest has made some changes that are not reflected in these recordings. If you have access to these recordings, your attendance and/or purchase occurred prior to these changes on Pinterest, as AG removed the option to purchase the Masterclass Recordings as soon as Pinterest debuted these updates. We may be updating this masterclass in 2021 or thereafter, but we also may not. Be aware as you view the recordings that not all features detailed may still be available.

PART ONE: UNDERSTANDING HOW SOCIAL PLATFORMS WORK & HOW PINTEREST FITS IN

PART TWO: FINDING KEYWORDS YOUR AUDIENCE IS SEARCHING

BONUS MATERIAL!

In the above video, I reference a search I ran that did not yield any suggested search terms, because Pinterest automatically assumed I was searching for a product. Here’s a screenshot of what I got for search results when I entered the search term, “leather bag.”

I now realize that Pinterest automatically narrowed my search results by showing me only product pins (see the drop-down field to the right of my search). I did not elect this type of search, but I could have changed what I saw by switching the search drop-down back to “All Pins.”

What you see in the below image, however, is a feed of Rich Pins, specifically product pins. Notice how each of them displays a current price in the top left corner of the pin, as well as the name of the item below the pin and the source. ⬇️

PART FOUR: CREATING PINS THAT GET REPINNED

RESOURCES REFERENCED IN THIS VIDEO:

  • www.unsplash.com (I said this was wrong for my brand as a photographer, but if you’re not a photographer, it can be an excellent place to find modern, social-looking stock images)

Also in this video, I discuss creating “alternate” pins that link to the same webpage.

To upload an image to Pinterest that doesn’t appear in a blog post, but which you want to connect to a blog post, click the “+” inside the red circle in the top-right of your profile when you’re logged in. This will allow you to upload any image and connect it to the webpage of your choice!
